Military Ombudsman to visit Afghanistan, June 30 – July 4 2002

OTTAWA (June 28, 2002) - André Marin, Ombudsman for National Defence and the Canadian Forces, will spend Canada’s 135th birthday with the troops in Afghanistan.

The Ombudsman will be in Afghanistan from June 30 to July 4, 2002 and will meet the troops. Joining him will be Gareth Jones, Director of the Special Ombudsman Response Team (SORT).
