Submitting a Complaint

If you are a member of the DND/CF community and you feel you have been treated unfairly, or you would like information about how to resolve a problem, the Ombudsman's Office is here to help.

However, before coming to the Ombudsman it is a good idea to try and solve the problem using internal mechanisms. If you have already contacted internal mechanisms without success, the Ombudsman may decide to guide you to the appropriate authorities.

To submit a complaint to the Office you can:

Toll-free at 1-888-828-3626, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern time), Monday to Friday and speak to an Intake Officer.

File Online:
For prompt submission with fast response, complete our new secure online complaint form to communicate directly with the Office of the Ombudsman.

Once you have completed and submitted the online form, a confirmation number will appear. Please keep this number and a printed copy of the completed form in your personal records.
