Director General Information Management Strategic Direction (DGIMSD)
The Director General Information Management Strategic Direction (DGIMSD) is to act as a focal point for strategic IM issues for all sectors of DND and the CF. This includes developing information management governance, strategy, plans and requirements. It also coordinates departmental IM policy, international and national interoperability and Information Management & Information Operations doctrine and concepts.
- Assisting CF Commanders and Defence users in defining their voice, data and communications requirements.
- Developing IM/IT policies and strategies to sustain and guide Defence IM enterprise architecture development and related investments in support of CF Commanders and Defence users.
- Directing research and development towards information acquisition, exploitation and protection capabilities in support of CF Commanders and Defence users.
Director General Information Management Project Delivery (DGIMPD)
The Director General Information Management Project Delivery (DGIMPD) is responsible for providing service excellence for both common and functional project management support throughout the project life cycle. It leads all capital IM projects (applications and infrastructure) and is responsible for oversight of all DND/CF IM projects during development and implementation.
- Implementing new voice, data and communication solutions in response to the operational and business requirements of CF Commanders and Defence users
- Sustaining project management and engineering expertise to deliver smart customer support to CF Commanders and Defence users.
Director General Information Management Technology (DGIMT)
DGIMT is responsible for the planning, engineering, integration, delivery and support of secure and non-secure Information Technology services, products and systems that meet the communications needs of the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces. DGIMT is also the Departmental authority for the provision of integrated IT services and enterprise IT infrastructure support and for IT security.
Director General Enterprise Application Services (DGEAS)
The Director General Enterprise Application Services (DGEAS) is responsible for developing and sustaining the Enterprise Applications in support of CF Commanders and Defence users.
