Operations

World MapThe Air Force participates in many aspects of operations in which the department is involved. They may be called upon to fly people and cargo in support of humanitarian aid or diplomatic missions, or support operations by providing air lift capability for equipment and troops, or air superiority and ground support in regions of conflict. Personnel and equipment are also an integral part of the Navy’s frigate fleet and Army regiments and units, working together in domestic and foreign operations.

Whether they’re flying aircraft, maintaining aircraft, or being a part of the operation on the ground in roles that range from administrative to combat, Air Force personnel and equipment can be found throughout the Canadian Forces.
