Management Principles
Guided by a responsibility to care for our People, and our duty to serve,and be accountable to the government and people of Canada, DND/CF has adopted the following six principles to support the DP&M:
- Defence Policy Statement will provide overall guidance to planning activities.
- The DND/CF will incorporate central agency direction and initiative within all planning and management activities in accordance with expectations.
- Capability based planning will be guiding engine for DND/CF improvement activities and the selection of priorities
- Operational lessons learned will contribute to investment decisions.
- Business Planning will allocate resources for current and future oriented activities
- Performance Management will assist senior leadership in monitoring progress and adjusting course.
