Excerpt from 21 May 98 DMC Record of Decisions:

Item VI - Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA). DMC agreed on the development of a Canadian perspective and supported the convening of symposia with representation from VCDS, ADM(Pol), DCDS, ADM(Per), ADM(Mat), CMS, CLS, CAS and outside expertise to assess impact of RMA on the future of the DND/CF;

With this statement the Defence Management Committee launched the Department and the Canadian Forces on the road to future strategies that will be useful in the twenty-first century.
