![]() Major Louis St-Laurent
While working for the Centre for the Support of Injured and Retired Members and Their Families, Major Louis St-Laurent has demonstrated an exceptional willingness to assist clients. He provides them with both a sympathetic ear and friendly point of contact. His dedication to clients goes far beyond merely performing his duties. He repeatedly goes the extra mile for his clients, spending significant amounts of time in listening to those who are in need and offering sound advice. Combining his vast knowledge of National Defence’s bureaucracy with his positive attitude, he is often able to identify and secure funds for counselling and support for those in need. In one particular instance, he organized funding for a distraught widow in order to provide her with additional counselling sessions beyond what is normally approved. Major St-Laurent’s actions epitomize the Department of National Defence’s primary objective of “putting people first”. The Ombudsman for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces salutes and commends Major Louis St-Laurent’s exceptional dedication. |
