Eligibility Criteria
The Ombudsman's Commendation for Complaint Resolution
To qualify for the award, an individual must demonstrate outstanding
complaint resolution skills in working co-operatively with Ombudsman
Office staff. The recipient’s actions must contribute to the
enhancement of the well-being of an individual or the entire DND/CF
community.
Recipients should demonstrate one or all of the following:
- Exceptional response and co-operation during the Ombudsman’s
investigation process
- A willingness and ability to resolve problems informally and quickly
- The resourcefulness to propose or consider innovative solutions
- A systemic approach to problem solving
- Supporting alternative means to resolve disputes.
