DLM · Canadian Forces Continuing Education Programme
In the Canadian Forces, the importance of continuing education is reflected in the availability of programs and resources developed specifically to meet the needs of the defence team. Under the Canadian Forces Continuing Education Program (CFCEP) regular and reserve force personnel of every rank and occupation, their families, retired members and civilian members have the opportunity to upgrade their academic and/or vocational qualifications.
The purpose of the CFCEP is to assist the CF members in accessing the services offered by various educational institutions. Whether you are seeking a High School diploma, GED certification, Professional Commercial or Technical credentials, College education or a University Degree, CFCEP will facilitate your access to the services offered by these institutions.
A BPSO/WPSO and an Education Coordinator is located at each Base and can help you with your portfolio and your Individual Learning Plan. A careful selection of educational institution and appropriate educational path is the key to success. Click on a dot on our MAP below to view each location and available services.
Campus Direct is a new federal government initiative opening a single gateway to on-line, post-secondary learning opportunities for government employees (including military members) in Canada and abroad.
General Educational Development (G.E.D.) is an international testing programme for adults who have been unable to complete high school. Adults acquire knowledge, skills, and concepts through working, training, travelling, reading, and other informal learning. GED Tests measure the level of "educational maturity" gained through experience, which is often equal to, or above, the level of a high school graduate.
