SNOWBIRDS ANNOUNCE 37th SHOW SEASON SCHEDULE

15 WING, MOOSE JAW, SASKATCHEWAN - The Canadian Forces Snowbirds were delighted to announce their 2007 show season schedule December 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America, during the International Council of Air Shows Convention.

"It is a tremendous honour to represent the Canadian Forces and our great nation across North America," said Major Robert Mitchell, incoming Commanding Officer, Canadian Forces Snowbirds.   "We are looking forward to sharing our love of aviation, pride in the Canadian Forces and patriotic spirit with all those we have the fortune of meeting."

During the 2007 season, the Snowbirds are scheduled to participate in 55 air shows in 36 locations, proudly flying Canada's colours across North America.  The team is also scheduled to conduct fly pasts of the following significant Canadian events: Canada Day, Calgary Stampede, and Edmonton Grand Prix.

The Snowbirds are also expcted to appear in the skies over the Grey Cup November 2007 in Toronto.

As ambassadors of the Canadian Forces and Canada, the team will travel as far North as Fort McMurray, Alta., as far South as Houston, Texas, as far West as Abbotsford, B.C. and as far East as Halifax, N.S. 

During the team's 37-year history, the Snowbirds have performed in 2,068 air shows, before more than 123 million spectators.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds' mission is to represent the professionalism, skill and teamwork of the Canadian Forces and to inspire Canadians to consider an exciting career in Canada's military.
