Nova Scotia International Air Show

September 15, 2006

By Lieutenant (Navy) Petra Smith

Halifax, Nova Scotia - September 9 and 10

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds were delighted to participate in the Nova Scotia International Air Show. With performances from The SkyHawks, the CF-18 Demonstration Team, Bill Carter, and other military and civilian acts, the Nova Scotia International Air Show provided a thrilling line-up for an enthusiastic crowd.

While in Halifax, the Snowbirds conducted the last media flight for the 2006 season. The Snowbirds would like to thank Ms. Sebrena MacKenzie of the Daily News, Mr. Peter Parsons of the Chronicle Herald and Mr. Darryl Kyte of CBC TV, for their interest and enthusiasm. It was a pleasure sharing our love of aviation, pride in the Canadian Forces and patriotic spirit with you.

While in Halifax, the Snowbirds were delighted to meet with the 866 Dalhousie Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. Captain Dave Boudreau, Snowbird 4, was especially thrilled to meet with the cadets from his former cadet squadron. Many Snowbird pilots and technicians began their interest in aviation through the cadet program.
