BiographyCaptain Sean Hanson – SB6 (Outer Right Wing)November 10, 2006 Captain Sean Hanson, 38, from Richmond, British Columbia, is in his first year with the Snowbirds and flies the Number 6 aircraft in the Outer Right Wing position. Captain Hanson joined the Canadian Forces in 1990 under the Officer Candidate Training Plan (OCTP). After receiving his wings at Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw in 1994, he was selected to fly the T-33 Silverstar aircraft in a tactical combat support role at 414 (Combat Support) Squadron in Comox, British Columbia. In 2003, he was posted to 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (2 CFFTS) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, to instruct on the CT-156 Harvard II. During his tour, he accumulated over 500 instructional flying hours. Captain Hanson brings to the team over 4,500 hours of flying experience, including 3,200 hours in high performance military aircraft.
