Test Lab Services

The DLN Test Lab provides the following services to military and civilian courseware designers and instructional designers in training centres and learning organisations across DND/CF:

• Lab facilities to test and evaluate web-based learning content and courseware.
• Resources such as templates, guidelines, test plans, and Best Practices tools for Web-based courseware development.
• A controlled environment for interoperability certification.
• Research and development of the SCORM® specification for Dynamic Appearance (Common look and-feel), navigation, accessibility and multi-lingual support.
• Testing, evaluation and demonstrations of the technical and functional capabilities of proposed tools (such as a LMS or a courseware authoring tool) and prototypes (such as content or courseware).
• A MetaData Editor for Learning Object Metadata.
• The sharing of information and lessons learned with other Canadian Forces and government agencies.
