The Header

The header is the same on all pages. It allows quick and easy access to information about various Parks Canada programs.

1. Français: Allows you to toggle the current page you are viewing between English and French.
2. Contact Us: Provides you with an e-mail form to contact Parks Canada.
3. Help: Provides information to help you navigate the Parks Canada Web site.
4. Search: Allows you to search the Parks Canada Web site or all Government of Canada Web sites using key words.
5. Canada Site: Takes you out of the Parks Canada Web site to the Government of Canada’s main Web site.
6. About the Parks Canada Agency: Provides news releases, speeches and employment details, and information about the Agency.
7. National Parks of Canada: Provides information on each of Canada’s national parks and about the national park system.
8. National Historic Sites of Canada: Provides information on the national historic sites managed by Parks Canada and on the system of national historic sites.
9. National Marine Conservation Areas: Provides information on Canada’s marine conservation areas and on the system of national marine conservation areas.
10. Cultural Heritage: Provides links to more information about Canada’s history and teaches about Canadian culture.
11. Natural Heritage: Provides links to more information about Canada’s natural heritage, ecological integrity, species at risk and other environmental topics.

The Sidebar

The Parks Canada symbol takes you back to the Parks Canada home page. Welcome: This module will help you learn more about Parks Canada and its programs. Planning Your Visit: Here you will find resources to help you plan a trip to Canada’s national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas. To search the Parks Canada Web site, type in a word or a phrase and hit “Go”.

The Footer

The footer displays the date of the last update and provides links to the top of page and to Important Notices.

1. Last Updated shows the last time the current page was updated or reviewed in the YYYY-MM-DD format.
2. The "Top of Page" Arrow promptly returns you to the top of the page you are currently viewing.
3. The Important Notices contains valuable copyright information regarding the reproduction (commercial and non-commercial) of both original and third-party material from the Web site, privacy information, and a notice concerning Official Languages.
