Parks Canada has more than four thousand employees from coast to coast to coast. They work at national parks, national historic sites, national marine conservation areas, national historic canals, administrative offices and service centres. Some examples of jobs include park wardens, interpreters, historians, archaeologists and trades people. Their work can be of a permanent, full-time, part-time, temporary or seasonal nature. Parks Canada also employs a fair number of students.

Employees work to further the mandate of Parks Canada, which is to preserve and present Canada's national heritage for current and future generations.
