Since 1947, Interpol has been particularly involved in the fight against the illicit trade in cultural objects and the first international notice on stolen works of art was published in that year. Since then the techniques have greatly evolved and our Organization has developed a highly efficient information system for circulating information in the form of a database accessible to all Interpol Member States, and the Interpol Stolen Works of Art CD-Rom."
