Flags on all federal government buildings and establishments within the province of Ontario are to be flown at half mast until sunset, December 19, 2001, the day of the funeral of the late Honourable Pauline McGibbon, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

As you are aware, December 6th was established by Parliament as "Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women".

The Flag on the Peace Tower in Ottawa and on federal government buildings and establishments across Canada will be flown at half mast from sunrise to sunset Thursday, December 6, 2001, to mark this Day of Remembrance and Action.
