Ardgowan National Historic Site
was once the home of William Henry Pope, one of the Fathers
of Confederation from Prince Edward Island. It is an example
of a picturesque rural cottage from the Victorian era, and the
house and grounds have been restored to the period. Visitors
can experience the serenity of the restored Victorian grounds,
enjoy a family picnic or take a leisurely stroll. The administrative offices for
Parks Canada, Prince Edward Island, are located inside the house.
