The old fur trade warehouse that is the Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic
Site of Canada celebrated its 200 th anniversary last year. The warehouse
was built in 1803. It is a witness to the era of the fur trade around Montreal,
from now and then. This warehouse has survived the passage of time to tell
us the stories of the fur trade companies, and of the adventurers that have
sought shelter under its roof.
