Province House National Historic Site of CanadaSite ManagementProvince House National Historic Site of Canada Management PlanThe first management plan for Province House National Historic Site of Canada and seat of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island was approved and tabled by the Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of the Environment, in May 2005. Management plans are required for all national historic sites owned and/or administered by Parks Canada. This management plan for Province House provides strategic direction to site managers, confirming a shared commitment with the Province of Prince Edward Island for the protection of this building, for the communication of its key values as the Birthplace of Confederation and as the seat of the Legislative Assembly for the province and for the provision of memorable experiences for visitors. The management planning team thanks all those who contributed to the development of the management plan, through your comments and participation at open houses.
