The most popular interpretation activity is the demonstration of loading a cannon-in this case, one of the cannons recovered from the wreck of the The Machault by archaeologists.

A scenic lookout has been created which, in addition to being child-friendly, offers a magnificent view out over the Restigouche River and the site of the battle as well as Campbellton, a city in New Brunswick.

A number of picnic tables have also been made available to visitors who wish to enjoy the beauty and quiet of this area a bit longer.
