The Government of Canada and the Valiants Foundation invite you to join Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaёlle Jean, Governor General of Canada; the Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs; Mr. Gordon Hamilton Southam of the Valiants Foundation; and other honorary guests for the official unveiling ceremony of the Valiants Memorial.

Located at Confederation Square on Elgin Street and Wellington, near the Sappers Staircase, this newly erected national monument commemorates the remarkable heroism and commitment of Canadians during five major periods of conflict. Nine bronze busts and five bronze, full-size figures representing fourteen men and women will be unveiled.

As part of Veterans Week, take part in this special ceremony to highlight the important role that our military participation has played in building our nation.
