Canadian Heritage is responsible for national policies and programs that promote
Canadian content, foster cultural participation, active citizenship and participation

to the Canadian Culture Online Funding Programs, Canadian Heritage provides Culture.ca
with core funding and support.

The Histor!ca Foundation contributes to the gateway’s content through a
CCO-funded licensing agreement by providing on-line access to all Canadian
Encyclopedia records. Histor!ca also provides Culture.ca’s For Kids section with selections of featured content.

Library and Archives Canada:
- provides specialized services related to content development and management of the Culture.ca links collection;
- ensures the management of messages sent to info@culture.ca as well as Culture.ca’s Ask a Librarian service; and,
- contributes to content development and integration for Culture.ca Showcases and other content features.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the Société Radio-Canada (SRC) grant Culture.ca permission to use:
- a selection of digitized information capsules from their television and radio
broadcasting archives, funded in part by Canadian Culture Online;
- a daily cultural newsfeed; and,
- their texts and images for Culture.ca featured content, including content selections for Culture.ca’s For Kids section.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) grants Culture.ca permission
to publish a selection of CCO-funded film clips and images from its collections,
funded in part by Canadian Culture Online, as well as some of their photographs
and pictures for the Culture.ca featured content.
