What makes a good children's song?

The best songs for children are the ones with a simple, pretty tune that is played on real instruments. The words must be repetitive, so the child can learn them easily. I also think a good children’s song should talk about aspects of the child’s own experience.

For my children’s albums, I write my own songs, or else I sing traditional songs that talk about animals, because all children love animals.
