National Military Cemetery celebrates third anniversary

The National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces, the final resting place for former members of the CF and the Canadian Merchant Navy, will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary June 28, and you are invited.

The Ceremonial Guard and the Band of the Ceremonial Guard will provide the colour and the musical backdrop for the afternoon’s events, which will include the unveiling and dedication of the Tri-Service Monument, a three-sided pillar bearing the badges of the Navy, Air Force and Army, and commemorative verses. Representatives of DND/CF, other government departments and the civilian community will be in attendance.

The activities will begin at 2 p.m., June 28, in Ottawa. The NMC is located within the grounds of Beechwood Cemetery, off Beechwood Avenue (near St. Laurent Boulevard and Hemlock Road, north of Montreal Road).
