Media AdvisorySNOWBIRDS PERFORM ACCEPTANCE SHOW TO MARK BEGINNING OF 2006 SEASONApril 21, 2006 15 WING, MOOSE JAW - The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will perform the 2006 Acceptance Show Tuesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at 15 Wing Moose Jaw before military leadership, family and friends. Media wishing to view the Acceptance Show should meet Lieutenant Andréa Collins at the entrance to the O.B. Philp Building at 10:30 a.m. for escort to the airfield. Media will have the opportunity to speak with Major Ian McLean, Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, following the show. Lieutenant-General Steve Lucas, Chief of the Air Staff, will inspect the performance to ensure it meets all Air Force safety requirements and represents the Canadian Forces with the utmost professionalism. Representatives from the Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Authority will also inspect the show to ensure it meets Canadian and American safety requirements. During the 35-minute show, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will perform more than 50 different formations and maneuvers, including thrilling solo passes, exciting rolls and loops and graceful nine-plane formations. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are proud to represent the professionalism, dedication and teamwork of all men and women in Canada's military, who are making a difference around the world.
