Media AdvisorySNOWBIRDS PERFORM YEAR END SHOWOctober 10, 2006 15 WING, MOOSE JAW, SASK. - The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will perform their Year End Show, marking the conclusion of the team's 36th season, Friday, October 13 at 11 a.m. at 15 Wing, Moose Jaw, with friends, family and the military community present. Media wishing to attend are invited to meet Lieutenant (Navy) Petra Smith at the O.B. Philp Building at 10:30 a.m. Colonel Richard Foster, Commander, 15 Wing, Major Ian McLean, Commanding Officer, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, pilots and technicians will be available for interviews following the show. During the 36th season, the team performed before more than 3 million spectators in 60 air shows in 40 locations across North America. The team traveled from coast to coast, visiting large urban centres and small communities.During their 36-year history, the Snowbirds have performed before more than 119 million spectators in communities across North America. The Snowbirds' mission is to demonstrate the professionalism, skill and teamwork of the Canadian Forces and to inspire Canadians to consider an exciting career in Canada's military.
