Snowbirds Fly for the CHILD Foundation

The Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post to Present a Commemorative Coin and Stamp Set to the Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team
Ottawa, June 27, 2006 – Flanked by members of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, officials from the Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post will officially unveil a commemorative coin and stamp set Thurday, June 29 at 1 p.m. at the Ottawa International Airport.

15 WING, MOOSE JAW - On a beautiful, bright, sunny Saskatchewan morning, the Canada Post commemorative Canadian Forces Snowbirds souvenir stamp sheets took flight in two CT-114 Tutor jets.

In a continuing look at the Snowbird Maintenance Organization, you will find an organization known as the Maintenance Support Shops.  These shops support not only the Periodic Maintenance crew, but the First line servicing crew as well.  The organization consists of four major shops.

BEHIND THE SCENES – CANADIAN FORCES SNOWBIRDS
This week’s segment will visit the Servicing Section. Often referred to as first line of maintenance, the Servicing Section ensures the day-to-day maintenance of the aircraft and ascertains that the jets are safe to fly on a daily basis.

MOOSE JAW, SASK – Amidst the beautiful Christmas Trees and graciously donated items, stood the Snowbirds’ sleigh filled with goodies, guided by the Nine Twinkling Lights of the Tutor jets.

DINNER WITH THE SNOWBIRDS
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are supporting the Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a Dinner with the Snowbirds Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. at the Moose Jaw South Convention Centre, 250 Thatcher Drive.

Snowbirds Visit to the Comox Valley
Monday, April 11th, the celebrated Canadian Forces Snowbirds came to the Comox Valley for their annual spring practice session. The eleven pilots, along with ten technicians and two supply personnel, arrived with their usual panache and proceeded to dazzle the local military and civilian community for the next three weeks.
