Biography

Captain Denis Beaumont - SB5 (Second Line Astern)

November 10, 2005

Captain Denis Beaumont, 39, from Loretteville, Quebec, is in his first year with the Snowbirds and flies the Number 5 jet.

Capt Beaumont joined the Canadian Forces in 1989 under the Officer Cadet Training Plan (OCTP). After receiving his wings in 1993, Capt Beaumont was posted to 2 Canadian Forces Flying School (2CFFTS) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, as flying instructor on the CT-114 Tutor.

In 1996, Capt Beaumont was posted to 439 Combat Support Squadron in 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec, as a combat support pilot on the CT-133 Silver star. In 2001, Capt Beaumont was posted to 5 Groupe Brigade Méchanisé du Canada, Valcartier, Quebec, as an Air Force liaison officer with the Army. In 2003, he was posted to Wing Operation Center at 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec, as a Staff Officer.

Capt Beaumont accumulated, over 700 hours of instructional flying hours and brings over 2,600 hours of military jet experience.
