DRDC Suffield Opens New Home for the Counter Terrorism Technology Centre

On October 18, the Counter Terrorism Technology Centre (CTTC) facilities at DRDC Suffield were officially opened, highlighting Canada's world-class research and development in the field of defensive countermeasures against the threat of chemical and biological weapons. The CTTC includes the Lecture/Training Facility, the Indoor Training Arena and the expanded Chemical/Biological Forensics Reference Lab.

The CTTC was announced five years ago as a key component of Canada's ability to respond to domestic and international chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear incidents. Since its creation, the CTTC has provided a unique collective training capability for the Canadian Forces, civilian first responders and foreign allies.
