  • 6/26/2007 - Rescue Centre Oversees Boaters At Vancouver Fireworks Shows
    The Victoria Joint Rescue Coordination Centre will keep watch over boaters at the Canada Day fireworks displays in Vancouver Harbour on July 1.  The safety plan involves personnel, vessels and equipment from the Canadian Air Force, Canadian Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Vancouver Police and Fire Departments, Vancouver Port Authority, RCMP, Provincial Emergency Health Service, Vancouver Parks Board, and St. John Ambulance.

  • 6/26/2007 - Kuwait Honours Canadian Service In The Gulf War
    The Government of Kuwait will honour approximately 150 members of the Canadian Forces at 11 a.m. on Thursday (June 28) for their service during the Gulf War 1990 to 1991 at a ceremony at the Chief and Petty Officers’ Mess at CFB Esquimalt.  CF members who were awarded the Canadian Gulf and Kuwait Medal will be presented the Kuwait Liberation of Kuwait Medal as a memento of their service by His Excellency Musaed Rashed Al-Haroun, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait.

  • 6/12/2007 - Changes of Command at Maritime Forces Pacific
    In accordance with the need to maintain and renew leadership within the Canadian Forces, several changes of command are scheduled throughout the summer at Maritime Forces Pacific, Joint Task Force (Pacific), and Canadian Fleet Pacific.

  • 6/6/2007 - 250 Years of Capt. Vancouver and 100 Years of The Rose Festival
    Her Majesty’s Canadian ships Vancouver, Brandon, Nanaimo, and Saskatoon arrive in Portland, Ore., today for the Fleet Week portion of the 100th Portland Rose Festival.  The ships will be berthed at the West Side Sea Wall of the Willamette River in Portland from June 7 to 10.  The nearly 300 Canadian sailors will participate in Rose Festival events, host visitors to the ships, and attend a variety of planned functions and receptions.

  • 6/5/2007 - Public Invited To Torpedo Test Range Open House This Saturday
    The Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges (CFMETR) in Nanoose Bay will be open for public tours Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  A wide range of activities and displays will provide a first-hand look at the daily operations at the military facility located north of Nanaimo.
