SNOWBIRDS ANNOUNCE 37th SHOW SEASON SCHEDULE

SNOWBIRDS FLY PAST VANIER CUP
15 WING, MOOSE JAW - Bringing flying and football together is a perfect combination for Captain Ian James, Standards Pilot, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and former University of Calgary Dinosaurs' linebacker.

Major Cory Blakely - SB3 (Inner Left Wing)
Major Cory Blakely, 38, from Edmonton, Alberta, is in his forth year with the Snowbirds and flies the No. 3 jet in the Inner Left Wing position and acts as the teams executive officer.

SNOWBIRDS ANNOUNCE NEW COMMANDING OFFICER
15 WING, MOOSE JAW - Major Robert Mitchell, 37, of Victoria, B.C., was appointed as the Team Lead and Commanding Officer of 431 (Air Demonstration) Squadron, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, November 14, following a competitive selection process.

CANADIAN FORCES SUPPORTS 94TH GREY CUP
WINNIPEG—The Canadian Forces will support the 94th Grey Cup and surrounding festivities by showcasing itself through numerous static and dynamic displays and official escort duties throughout the City of Winnipeg from November 14 to 19, 2006.

GREY CUP ARRIVAL AT THE FORKS
WINNIPEG—Media are invited to attend the opening festivities ceremony for the 2006 Grey Cup arrival at the Forks at noon on November 14.  Weather permitting, two Canadian Forces CH-146 Griffon Helicopters will transport the Grey Cup, its handlers and the V.I.P. escort to their destination.

Captain Sean Hanson – SB6 (Outer Right Wing)
Captain Sean Hanson, 38, from Richmond, British Columbia, is in his first year with the Snowbirds and flies the Number 6 aircraft in the Outer Right Wing position.

Captain Mark LaVerdiere – SB8 (Opposing Solo)
Captain Mark LaVerdiere, 37, from Orillia, Ontario, is in his first year with the Snowbirds.  He flies the Number 8 jet as the opposing solo.

SNOWBIRDS ANNOUNCE NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS
15 WING, MOOSE JAW, SASK. - Two Canadian Forces pilots and five technicians were appointed to key show team positions within 431 (Air Demonstration) Squadron, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Thursday, November 2 at 15 Wing, Moose Jaw, Sask., after a rigorous selection process.
