The Games of La Francophonie provide a number of athletes with a unique opportunity to showcase their talent on an international level and to distinguish themselves in high-performance sport. For some of the athletes, the V Games of La Francophonie represented their debut in international competition. For the Games in Niamey, athletes participated in seven specific competitions.
