Danish Canadian National Museum and Gardens collect artifacts and immigrant life stories nationwide pertaining to Danish immigration to Canada. We have a Dormitory Coffee House & Gift Shop. Our Vision: To Share our Unique Danish Canadian Heritage. Mission: To Preserve, Present, and Promote Danish Heritage and Culture. Grand Opening was 2002.

Renseignements sur les collections Collections include: dishes, linens, photograps, art work (paintings, sculptures, metal works, wood carvings, needlework, furniture, Royal Copenhagen china/porceline, other porcelne figurines, costumes/clothing,personnel documents (passports, baptisimal records, immigration papers), research library. Some of our collections date back to the late 1700s/early 1800s, 1900s and forward. Services de recherche Genealogical centre opening for the 2006 Season, Kinfolk Kits for members to record their family history, Starting Anew stories (immigrant stories regarding people living in Central Alberta). A Provincial Centennial Project that will carry on for years to come. Students experience and learn about Danish Customs, Danish language, Danish cuisine and Danish games. Hans Christian Andersen stories and mythology are an intergral part of the school program. Educational/Interpretive services for all ages and ethnic groups. During the off season Danish language lessons are offered as well as arts and crafts (dependent on availability of instuctors/attendees).
