The Manitoba Children's Museum offers a hands-on, interactive learning environment for children 12 and under and their caregivers. Through active participation in our six permanent galleries, children are encouraged to play and discover the world around them.

Renseignements sur les collections The museum's signature gallery features a restored 1952 Canadian National Railway diesel engine and 1910 passenger coach; large, dramatic and equipped with costumes, "All Aboard" exhibit stimulates the imaginations of 5-10 year olds to roleplay the work of engineers, stationmasters, conductors, passengers, baggage and mail handlers and mechanics in a 1950s setting; the passenger car is representative of the dining, coach, sleeping, mail and baggage cars found on trains; the train station is filled with props and other railway memorabilia; there is also a "Tree & Me" gallery; WonderWorks Infrastructure Gallery, the first of its kind in North America; Live Wire (Recollections II exhibit); video booth and a variety of travelling exhibits showcased in a 2,000 square foot gallery space. The Once Upon a Time Gallery featuring 15 fairytale vignettes and doubles as Santa's Village from November - December. Our public programming encourages hands-on, imaginative learning. We offer programming for both children and families.
