The Contemporary Art Gallery is a non-profit public art gallery dedicated to the research, exhibition, documentation and education about visual art as it is practiced locally, nationally and internationally. It strives to generate significant local audiences to its activities and exhibitions, and a profile that is international in scope.

Programs include mounting up to thirteen exhibitions per year which place the work of Vancouver artists in the national and international contexts; producing illustrated catalogues to document and expand upon exhibitions; organizing artist/curator talks and tours, and public symposia.
