of Flight Safety
Flight safety is based on the fact that eliminating the accidental
loss of aviation resources is a major factor in maintaining operational
capability, which is vital to mission accomplishment in the CF.
- Technical Airworthiness
Authority (TAA)
The Technical Airworthiness Program, established by the TAA, is based
on the philosophy, principles and concepts used by civilian and military
airworthiness authorities world-wide.
- International
Training Programs (ITP)
The International Training Programs (ITP) office actively promotes
and coordinates international participation in Canada’s
world-leading air force training. Trainees come from air and
aviation forces of
over 30 countries as well as Canadian corporations and other
government agencies.
- Contracted Flying Training
and Support(CFTS)
The CFTS Project will provide for the re-tendering and implementation
of a new generation of flying training support services for Primary,
Multi-Engine and Helicopter pilot training programs
- Airfield
Engineers
The Airfield Engineers make up one of the specialist teams within
the air force, providing ground support for flying operations.
- Central Band
The Central Band of the Canadian Forces, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario,
has gained an international reputation as one of Canada’s leading
military musical organizations representing the Air Force and supporting
all elements of Canada’s military.
- Air Command
Band
The Air Command Band is a thirty-five member, full-time professional
ensemble that performs throughout Canada and abroad. The role of
this diverse band is to provide musical support to the Canadian
Forces, all
levels of government, and to a variety of public functions.
