Calgary (Alberta)
Nestled in the middle of the city, the Calgary Zoo is home to a living collection of plants and animals. More than 260 animal species are represented in four different ares: the Canadian Wilds, Eurasia, Destination Africa, and Australia and Creatures of the Night. The Zoo also features a living library of nearly six acres of ornamental and trial gardens.

The Calgary Zoo's animal collection contains over 260 species and 900 speciments. The Zoo participates in Species Survival Plans for 24 species including Siberian tigers, Sri Lankan elephant and Asian wild horse, to name a few.
