Cavendish Campground

We welcome you to join us at one of our three campgrounds or our group tenting campground. Robinsons Island (formerly Rustico Island), Stanhope, and Cavendish campgrounds are all within walking distance of superb beaches and provide on-site interpretive programs between late June and late August (see pages 6 and 7). Brackley Group Tenting is for organized groups only. The area features enclosed shelters, washrooms, and firepits.

Robinsons Island Campground
Camping will not be offered at Robinsons Island in 2005. Parks Canada
will consider future options for visitor experience at this site.
Stanhope Campground
A picturesque, quiet campground located close to main beaches, walking/hiking trails and a new playground area. Recreational equipment also available on site. Full range of sites available. Features showers, flush toilets, laundromat and kitchen shelters. Accessible sites, kitchen shelter, washroom and access to main beach. Interpretive programs provided. Campfires permitted on selected sites.
Cavendish Campground
Our largest campground, close to all amenities; featuring more than 300 sites. Exceptional recreational opportunities abound, such as our supervised beach within the campground and the spectacular Homestead Trail, offering 8km suitable for hiking and cycling. Recreational equipment available on site. Showers, flush toilets, laundromat and kitchen shelters. Interpretive programs provided.
Rules & Regulations
- Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- Quiet hours are enforced between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and cannot be left unattended. Pets are prohibited on all beaches from April 1to Oct. 15, annually.
- A complete alcohol ban is strictly enforced in all campgrounds from June 1 to and including the July 1 weekend. Otherwise, alcohol may be consumed on individual sites only.
