Royal Visit on the Internet
OTTAWA, June 20, 1997 -- As part of the visit to Canada of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh from June 23 to July 2, the Department of Canadian Heritage invites people to visit the Royal Visit site on the Internet at the following address:http://canada.gc.ca/royalvisit
Users will find details on the full itinerary of the visit and information on the Monarchy in Canada. During the royal visit, the site will provide day-to-day access to a daily events summary, a digitalized photo bank, video reports, major speeches and press releases.
Part of the site is dedicated to youth and will include a quiz and a message from Her Majesty to young Canadians, which will be released on June 28 during her visit to Bell Homestead in Brantford.
