Government of Canada supports the Music Arsenal

MONTRÉAL, February 17, 2004 -- The Honourable Irwin Cotler, Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament (Mount Royal), on behalf of the Honourable Hélène Chalifour Scherrer, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced funding of $30,000 for the Music Arsenal to conduct a study of its organizational capacity and develop a three-year strategic plan.

"For 25 years, the Music Arsenal has highlighted the importance of presenting concerts aimed at young people," said Minister Cotler. "I am proud to announce this Government of Canada support, which will allow the Arsenal to continue its work and provide itself with appropriate management tools to aid its development."
