OTTAWA, June 21, 2002 -- Minister of Canadian Heritage Sheila Copps is pleased that the House of Commons today adopted a motion to officially recognize Alexander Graham Bell, the Canadian visionary from Brantford, Ontario and Baddeck, Nova Scotia, as the inventor of the telephone.
