New Member Appointed to National Capital Commission
OTTAWA, January 24, 1996 Canadian Heritage Minister Michel Dupuy today announced the appointment of Norma J. Lamont to the National Capital Commission as a member.Ms. Lamont, from Ottawa, is currently Director of Special Projects and Children's Miracle Network Director at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. She is involved with fundraising projects, as well as liaising with community, corporate and government leaders.
Ms. Lamont has also been actively involved in several local charities including the Heart Institute Telethon, Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, Children's Aid Society, Nelson House and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The appointment is effective immediately.
