Sheila Copps Expresses Condolences Following the Death of National Film Board Trustee
OTTAWA, February 22, 2000 -- The Honourable Sheila Copps, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today expressed her condolences following the death of Carolyn Fouriezos, a Trustee of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB)."I was sad to learn of the death of Ms. Fouriezos," said Minister Copps. "She had been a tireless and dedicated Trustee of the National Film Board of Canada since 1994. Ms. Fouriezos drew on her past experiences and knowledge gained through her work as a journalist and her membership on the Board of the Ontario Film Development Corporation to make a significant contribution to the NFB. She will be long remembered by everyone who knew her. I extend my sincere sympathy to Ms. Fouriezos' family for their loss."
