MONTRÉAL, September 24, 2002 -- Minister of Canadian Heritage Sheila Copps today announced financial support of $30,000 for the Montréal Électronique Groove (MEG) music event. The 4th edition will be held from October 23 to 26, 2002.

"A true forum for the electronic community, Montréal Électronique Groove allows Canadian artists to share amongst themselves and make a name for themselves both here and abroad," said Minister Copps. "I would like to highlight the remarkable work of those who have helped transform this music festival into an avant-garde and adventurous cultural event."

Montréal Électronique Groove is a music festival of national and international scope that puts an emphasis on the new creators of hybrid and electronic music.
