During this Christmas season my thoughts are with all of those men and women overseas.  And although our family has lost a great man, Cpl Shane Keating, I still believe in your efforts to bring peace and create a better world for the people of Afghanistan.  Come home safe.

I know you all must be getting tired of all the same such as be home soon and be safe; but I wish the same to you all! As well as a merry Christmas and a welcoming new year. I know what you guys go through over there because I have talked to some reservists and I have to tell you that someone has and had to do what you all, servicemen and women, are doing over there. Even though I don't have any family in the forces right now I still pray for you all and keep up with the news. I am just hoping that that hellish war will be over soon, so all we can do is hope. Once I have completed schooling I hope to be right where you all are now; there is no greater way to feel proud than to serve your country. I just hope you all come home safe  -Scott

TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELVES!

Never let your guard down, as we all want you to come home safely. Don't miss your morning Tim Hortons, as it will keep you alert.

Keep showing the Afghans what us Canadians are all about and you will be sure to accomplish our mission there. A culture of mutual respect goes a long way in keeping Afghan support on our side.

Keep up the good work!

Seasons greetings to all of you, our wonderful Canadian soldiers. As a child from a military family in the 60's, I cannot begin to express my deep appreciation and respect for your efforts and courage. My father who passed away one year ago this week was one of your biggest supporters. I write to you in his honour. I write to you to say thank you. You are all in our daily thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
