For the first time, all members of the sport community have united to outline the vision and goals for Canada to be a leading sport nation. Canadian Sport Centres are located across our country in order to enhance the training environment for athletes. Our Sport Hosting Program assists Canadian organizations to host sport events in Canada, further creating opportunities for athletes and the sport community. We also support our countries National Sport Organizations, as well as Multi-Sport/Service Organizations that help develop athletes, coaches and officials, while improving participation programs that deliver quality sport programs which reach 4.6 million Canadians. We also work collectively to create a level playing field through leadership in the fight against doping in sport. The Government of Canada is also a Member Partner of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games where we are sure to see many outstanding Canadian athletes reach for the summits of success.
