Acoustic Data Analysis Centre Pacific [ADAC (P)]

The Acoustic Data Analysis Centre (Pacific) (ADAC(P)) is located in the Henderson Building 260 in Dockyard. ADAC(P)’s mission is to serve as the Maritime Forces Pacific (MARPAC) authority for Under Water Warfare acoustic intelligence and Route Survey by providing plans, analysis, assistance and training to its customers. To fulfill this mandate, ADAC(P) is organized into three sections: Jezebel, Training, and Route Survey.

The Jezebel section provides post-mission acoustic analysis support to MARPAC ships that utilize towed arrays and sonobouys, and to 407 Maritime Patrol Squadron in Comox. The training section is responsible for both continuation and advanced acoustic training of Sonar Operators (SONAR OPs). The Route Survey section provides the Pacific Fleet with coastal ocean mapping support utilizing data from a variety of sensors including side scan and multibeam bathymetric sonars. This section also provides the Kingston class vessels with mission planning and analysis support for their route survey operations.
