General Information Seminars
The Business Immigration Section of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade offers an information seminar the first and third Tuesday afternoon of every month at the Ontario Investment and Trade Services in downtown Toronto for individuals who are interested in immigrating to Ontario, Canada under the Business Immigration Program. This seminar provides an overview of Ontario, describes the immigration process, and highlights the services and resources available to business immigrants. The seminar is free, but pre-registration is required.

- By Car:
- (a) from Lakeshore Boulevard go NORTH on Yonge Street, turn right at first street, the Esplanade, and enter public parking on the right.
OR
(b) from Lakeshore Boulevard go NORTH on Yonge Street, turn left at the first street, Front Street and enter BCE parking on the right.
- By Subway:
- Take any subway route to UNION STATION, stay underground and follow the signs to BCE Place. Go up to street level of the Canada Trust Tower and
enter the elevator banks for floors 39-50. Ontario Investment and Trade Services is on the 40th floor, Suite 4040.
- By Bus:
- take the Bay Street bus and exit at Front Street and enter the Canada Trust Tower on the north-east side of Front Street and Bay Street.

Doing Business in Ontario Seminars
Seminars on Doing Business in Ontario are provided for recently landed business immigrants. These seminars are presented in a number of languages and are designed in particular for immigrant entrepreneurs with terms and conditions on their visas. These seminars provide information on starting a business, Canadian tax and banking systems, business opportunities, and the removal of terms and conditions.
Professionals including bankers, accountants, business brokers, and business counselors speak at these seminars to explain regulations and services applicable to businesses in Ontario, and they are available to answer questions. An Immigration Officer and our consultants will be present to answer any immigration or business related questions as well. The seminars also allow recent business immigrants to meet each other and share ideas, issues, and successes.

Passport to Business Success Program
The Business Immigration Section works with partners from the federal Department of Citizenship and Immigration and the City of Toronto to coordinate services designed to help immigrant entrepreneurs get into business. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to attend seminars on a variety of business related topics and benefit from networking with other newly arrived entrepreneurs.
