Our heritage tells us who we are, where we have come from and what we have accomplished. It is a source of strength and confidence that puts the changes of society into perspective and helps us to build a better future.

Recognizing the importance of heritage, the Ontario government, through the Ministry of Culture, has promoted heritage conservation for many years, adjusting its role to meet changing needs and circumstances.

The Ministry provides support to a number of provincial agencies, heritage organizations and museums in order to preserve and present Ontario's rich cultural heritage.
